1. JEREMY THATCHER DRAGON HATCHER– By Bruce Coville
Yes, I know it’s a kiddie book. I care not! I LOVED this book when I was a kid and I still love reading it. It’s such a great story! And Tiamat was the dragon that started it all for me. I wanted a dragon just like her!
2. THE HOBBIT – By J. R. R. Tolkien
I’m not sure you can call yourself a true veteran of fantasy unless you’ve read this one. My mom read it to me when I was little, and I’ve gone back and read it again and again throughout my life. Smaug may not be a good dragon, but he’s still pretty awesome.
3. THE LOST HERO – By Rick Riordan
It was exciting to see this “kind” of dragon make an appearance in a world I already loved. Festus was amazing!
4. HARBINGER– By Nicole Conway
Is it lame to list one of my own books? Ah, well. I can’t help it! Out of both series I’ve written thus far, the second book to this series (the sequel to SAVAGE), is by far my favourite. It was insanely fun to write, and I’m so excited for readers to get their hands on it. Dragon fight scenes are the best!!
5. DRAGON WEATHER – By Lawrence Watt-Evans
