In other words, characters with rude or disgruntled personalities who deserve love too… especially if they thaw towards the MC, eventually.

Artie Nielsen, Warehouse 13

Artie comes off as cranky and gruff, but mostly that’s a shield to keep him from getting too close to people. As the keeper of Warehouse 13, and coordinator for its’ agents, he’s lost a lot of people in his life, friends and fellow agents alike. Collecting artifacts can be a hella dangerous job. Artie was also once an NSA codebreaker, so being secretive isn’t just for personal protection. It’s also a way of life for him.

Despite trying to push people away, he gets very attached to his agents, and is very protective of them. This is particularly true regarding Claudia. He feel responsible for her because it was inadvertently his actions that led to her growing up an orphan, and being put in a facility for the mentally disturbed for a time. He has a fatherly attitude, albeit a grumpy one,  towards Claudia, and to some extent, the other agents as well.

He’s really a sweet teddy bear! I think it would be great to be a part of the WH13 family.
