Life and Things
Ok! Fun thing first!! I reached 500 reviews on Netgalley!
So, Im sure some have noticed my posts are getting fewer and far between. I’ve finally gotten a diagnosis, after ruling out a buttload of other afflictions like lupus. Final verdict: CFFM. Better known as two separate syndromes (chronic fatigue/ fibromyalgia), though Drs are learning it’s really a spectrum of one disorder, hence my use of CFFM. The older I get, the more it seems to act up. Lately, all I’ve wanted to do is sleep. I fell asleep in my chair for several hours and woke to a massive pain flare.
I find it so frustrating to gave to put blog stuff on a back burner. So many fun tags and such that I really want to do, but…. To quote an overburdened Drizzt in the Baldur’s Gate game- “I have no energy left.”
I know it’s just part of the cycle. Part of me wants to ball up and cry though. This is a chronic, incurable condition. It can be managed, but it’s slowly taking my life away. Between the CFFM, the NASH, the Meniere’s, and being legally blind, it can be so so hard. I try to stay positive and happy, or at least content.
I spend a great deal of time fretting over money issues related to health, Dr visits, equipment I need. I tried to do a crowdsourcing to get a little help. Just to get back on my feet. I took it back down pretty quick after being lambasted for have ‘not real’ issues, and making things up. My sister thinks I should try again, but I’m chary. I don’t like getting burnt for existing…

Congratulations with your 500 reviews on Netgalley.. that is a massive amount of books! I’m only at 70 myself and I don’t even know if I’m going to reach 100 next years. I am very sorry you got such news about your health. I can totally understand your feelings but at least now you know and everyone can understand you better. I know it won’t go away but maybe it fluctuates and if it’s bad now it’ll be better? I do wish you find happiness in 2019, you deserve it Aislynn!
Thanks! Haha, it took me two 1/2 years. Many are kid’s books too. I seem to have niched myself there 🤣 I read them with my cubs, though.
The pain/exhaustion does fluctuate. I have to follow an anti-inflammatory diet, and that does help.
May you find happiness in the new year as well!
