Determined, Jordan practised hard all summer and succeeded in the next try-out. He went on to become one of the best basketball players on record, even going to the Olympics. He has been instrumental in encouraging kids to shoot for their dreams.

Despite not being allowed to watch many movies, she dreamt of becoming an actress. One day a photographer saw her and offered her a modelling contract, which led to movie parts. Sadly, Marilyn died at a young age.

Kamala Harris by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara looks at the life of the very first US Vice President. Growing up in an activist household, Kamala dreamed early on of becoming a lawyer so she could help those who most needed it. She would go on to enter politics, and serve as one of California’s senators. From there, Harris was nominated as Biden’s running mate in the 2020 Presidential election and became the first female Vice President (and about time, too…), as well as being the first person of colour to hold the role (also about time…) She is a truly inspirational person and I’m proud she came from my state.
